State Downsizing

The Challenge

This organization is committed to assisting states where they work with efforts to downsize state institutions and training centers. Although they had the resources to do so, they did not wish to purchase homes in the situation. The organization needed a resourceful partnership that would be beneficial between them and the state to help with their efforts.

The Scioto Solution

Scioto came into partnership with the organization to help facilitate the downsizing efforts and continues to meet with state officials to create a mutually beneficial and effective partnership between the three parties.

The Result

The organization was able to utilize Scioto’s resources to further their mission and effectively assist in the downsizing. As a result, the organization is growing in several adjacent states and is able to use Scioto as a resource in supporting state downsizing, regulatory requirements and Olmstead compliance efforts.
