As we close out 2018 and begin 2019, it is a time to celebrate the great things providers are doing in communities across the United States. Scioto continues to assist many states, providers, and individuals to continue the inclusion of people into community-based homes. Scioto has made a significant three-year contribution to the national “We Have a Stake “campaign to further support our customers share their wonderful stories that are happening across the nation. www.wehaveastake.org
In the 2018 customer survey, Scioto garnered a customer satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5.0 from providers with whom Scioto works throughout the country. This survey has been conducted by a third party since 2006. Highest scores were in the areas of helpfulness, friendliness, flexibility, responsiveness and knowledge/understanding of the population we serve. Nearly 90% stated they would recommend Scioto to others.
Scioto was privileged to support the states of California, Virginia, Mississippi, and Florida with their continued downsizing efforts throughout this year by providing over 30 homes and day programs specifically designed and fully accessible to afford people the ability to Age-in-Place. We also saw demand for real estate solutions in the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Behavioral Health and Senior Care adjacent markets.
To support providers with their diversification and growth goals, Scioto continues to offer real estate financing for acquisitions, creative finance structures and cost-effective new construction solutions.
2019 is likely to be a year of change. National policies, managed care, and other state and federal government activities are likely to threaten and potentially re-shape the healthcare industry. We are anticipating a number of acquisitions and mergers that could change the industry landscape.
Scioto is ready to collaborate with you and your team to tackle real estate and industry challenges in 2019. We welcome the opportunity to work together with you and your staff to creatively provide real estate solutions for your organization and the people you support.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees, providers, partners, investors, and people we support throughout the United States who made 2018 another fantastic year for Scioto. I am proud of our accomplishments together and very grateful to our customers across the nation.
On behalf of our entire Scioto team, we wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
