Mary Bea Eaton began her career in the provider industry working with troubled adolescents and children with behavioral disorders. She has a Master’s Degree in Education from West Virginia University and has worked with many children and young adults to help them perform simple tasks independently. Her many observations from working inside group homes provided the motivation to continue in the field and she easily transitioned into the disability industry.
Mary Bea first met Tim Vogel, founder of Scioto, while managing the State of West Virginia for PeopleServe. She went on to manage the Eastern States for the company following an acquisition. Mary Bea has an in-depth knowledge and executive experience in the disability industry. That knowledge provides her with an excellent background to succeed as Chief Operating Officer at Scioto, where she provides direction and support to the employees while assisting the provider organizations.
Mary Bea finds her career to be extremely rewarding. “I find it rewarding to be able to see how excited individuals and their families are to have a home they can call their own. It is also very satisfying to assist providers with locating housing so they can provide quality services and assistance to both the individuals and the employees they support. Real estate is one less thing they have to worry about.”
While managing the day-to-day operations of the business requires a lot of time and hard work, Mary Bea also takes time out to have fun. She supports many charities, including Fishing has no Boundaries, The Cancer Society and she participates each year in the Multiple Sclerosis Annual Golf Scramble.
Mary Bea’s family is found in her home state of West Virginia as well as Pittsburgh, PA. Between her brother and her sisters, she has a total of eight nieces and nephews, whom she sees regularly as each family is less than a three hour drive from each other. When she isn’t visiting her family, you will find Mary Bea enjoying the outdoors either fishing, hiking or working in the yard.
Mary Bea is a shining example of how to provide excellent customer service to all of our clients. We are thankful for the knowledge and experience she brings to our great company!
