By trade Genny Beck is not a juggler but she does a great impersonation of one each time she searches for quality homes for her customers. Genny, Program Director for a national provider, works hard, relying on knowledge gleaned from nearly two decades in the field to fulfill the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
“I work with people who have sustained brain injuries, and/or developmental disabilities who are looking for a nice group home to call home,” said Genny. “ This task is never easy. No two days are the same. Every week there are great obstacles and challenges.”
After spending 19 years with state government agencies, and 10 years in trauma as an RN, Genny has seen it all, and understands the importance of our industry.
“My experience with Scioto has been seamless,” Genny said. “I have had no major issues, and am enabling five participants to move into a property that Scioto has purchased. The Sunbury, Ohio property is absolutely beautiful.
This property is fully equipped for comfortable living situations for each of the five individuals with varying degrees of disabilities. Two kitchens on either end of the home lend their way to two open areas for relaxation, conversation, and ideal TV viewing.
The walkways are easy to maneuver, with the entries wide and open, with custom flooring that is easy for wheelchair access. Each of the five bedrooms is bright, airy, and has many modern conveniences.
The fully lit backyard is serene, peaceful and beautifully landscaped.
“I work on many homes, and I recommend Scioto as the provider of choice.”
