Meet Stacy Rumpf, Senior Housing Coordinator for Scioto.
Stacy is our first Scioto Spotlight. She came to Scioto in April 2006, having been recruited by Mary Bea Eaton, Scioto’s Chief Operating Officer. According to Mary Bea, “I knew the first time I met Stacy, that she would be an excellent fit for our team”.
Stacy spent her pre-Scioto years as a realtor in the residential markets, which made coming to Scioto an easy transition. During Stacy’s time at Scioto her job has been to assist with Purchasing and Sales for new and existing clients, and to coordinate the maintenance and repairs once a home is in process. As Stacy sees it, “it is my job to take the burden off of the care provider”.
Stacy has an established list of realtors, contractors, and vendors that help make her job easy when purchasing a home. “Communication and making sure expectations are set up front is critical to ensuring our homes are purchased, built, renovated, and maintained to Scioto standards.” The most common homes that Stacy deals with are the three and four bedroom ranch homes in suburban neighborhoods. These homes allow for affordable amenities, and are especially conducive for disability housing. Stacy is also very adept at working with a neighborhood’s homeowners’ association to educate the neighborhood on the benefits of having a home for people with disabilities in their community.
