Holiday Cheer Brings Smiles to Resident Faces

On Tuesday, December 14, a handful of Scioto employees traveled to Westerville, Ohio, to share a little holiday cheer. They visited a home where NeuroRestorative Ohio, a partner of The MENTOR Network, supports the needs of people with acquired brain injuries. The house, which officially opened in early September, currently houses one individual, but plans are underway to add as many as four more people in the near future. Building One Home For Four In Eight Short Weeks…Green Bay, Wisconsin

If you build it they will come … or sometimes you have four people with disabilities waiting for a home and need to have a house built to certain specifications in eight weeks. That’s when Scioto goes into action and makes sure the house gets built so folks have a house to call home.

That’s the situation in which Innovative Services of Green Bay, Wisconsin, found itself. They had eight weeks to find community-based housing for four developmentally disabled individuals with physical disabilities.
